RIO TURNS EIGHT
The day after the anniversary of the India-Pakistan partition, on the same day as India's 59th year of independence, Rio Renato turned eight. Pics and stories, click below.
Hi there Jan. Yes I'm related. A friend who's been blogging for some time came across your site and saw your reference to my grandfather's work in your profile. I dropped by your site and saw your post about bilirubins, which made me think about Jedi mediclorins... I'd rather have Han Solo's alcohol infusions in the bloodstream to tell you the truth...
I see. I like your grandfather's work, especially his perspective in history. I'm a political science student in UP Manila. Hehehe... Glad to know you're related, and he's your grandfather. Hehehe... I just felt sad when I've learned he already passed away.
Ah, no reason to be sad. His work lives, especially when students of history like you -- whatever your course, or later career -- see the imperative of looking at the past to consciously build the future. My wife is from UP Manila too, along with a good friend who chairs the Manila Studies portfolio.
