Italian press agency interviews Constantino on the rise of totalitarianism in the Philippines

Manila, 4 April (AKI) - Philippines president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared a week-long state of emergency in February to stop an alleged military coup. In an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI) writer and historian Renato Redentor Constantino, who lives in Manila, denounced continuing attacks by the Filipino government against leftist politicians and the media.
