SEE YOU AT THE LAUNCHING

Hi everyone. A couple of essays were published the past few weeks as teasers to the launching of my book The Poverty of Memory: Essays on History and Empire. In case you haven't gotten around to reading Business Mirror -- a superb newspaper, if I may say so, staffed mainly by the fine team that helmed that elegant national daily called TODAY -- do drop by the Indonesian online publication Paras Indonesia published by some of the most inciteful and insightful Indonesian minds today. You can read my work there occasionally and at the same time acquire most edifying perspectives concerning the biggest Muslim country in the world courtesy of the site's array of writers.

I hope to see many of you on March 24 at Balay Kalinaw, UP Diliman. Remember, 4PM... There will be a hefty 20% discount on books bought during the event. Don't miss it.

I am thinking of maintaining a more conversant website in the near future where exchanges with readers and visitors can become central to the site. This hasn't been the case for some time since I have more or less treated this site as a simple warehouse of my writings. Lets see how far these intentions go. Migrating to a dedicated website is one of the considerations I am mulling at the moment in order to address this along with other pending matters. All easier said than done obviously. Send me an email through red_constantino(at)yahoo(dot)com if you have suggestions. Meantime, thanks for dropping by.
